Pratia angulata is a native NZ plant which grows as a magnificent ground cover. In Wellington we use it as a ground cover in shady spots, perfect for your native garden design. It isn’t great at restricting weeds on its own- combine it with other groundcovers like Baby Tears or Acaena for a more thorough cover. Its spread is to about 1 meter, growing tiny white flowers and red berries. This native thrives in damp, shady spots but will also grow in sunnier spots.

Please note that cuttings are wrapped in wet newspaper, with no roots, in a small amount of soil. If you are not confident at striking cuttings you should purchase the adult plant. You will receive one 10cm cutting that needs to be put 4cm deep into wet soil as soon as possible.
