String of Pearls is native to the drier areas of Southwest Africa and likes to be in dry, but shady areas as it naturally grows as ground cover in the sahde of other plants or rocks. In Wellington we use it as a lovely indoor addition to any plant collection! It can grow up to 60-90 cm long but you can prune it to any desired length. It is best to let String of Pearls dry out a little bit before watering as it is very prone to root rot if over watered.

Please note that cuttings are wrapped in wet newspaper, with no roots, in a small amount of soil. If you are not confident at striking cuttings you should purchase the adult plant. You will receive one 10cm cutting that needs to be put 4cm deep into wet soil as soon as possible.
