The Very Green Gardener is a gardening company based in Central Wellington.

We landscape gardens, helping to plan and plant. We then come back weekly, fortnightly or monthly to maintain your garden at an hourly rate.

We support gardeners into professional gardening, and provide a service connecting clients to contract gardeners.

We provide commercial grounds maintenance services, from car parks, to staff courtyards, to large commercial sites with full gardens.

We grow our own plants for landscaping, and sometimes just for fun. We plant them back into client’s gardens for koha.

Because we are as sustainable as possible, we support clients and the public into setting up composting systems or worm farms at their homes.

We can support you into installing a 200l rainwater catchment tank as a part of our initiative with Oxfam.

We offer a plant subscription service for people to grow small batches of vegetables, or flowers for some colour.

We have a Substack, which is our blog. The public one discusses what was happening for the team this week, and contains a lot of useful information on gardens in Wellington. The paid one provides in depth explorations of gardening concepts, teaching you more about gardening, as well as exploring cool garden-related initiatives in Poneke and beyond.
