Over the Summer of 2022/2023 I embarked on a photo/palette project with Joh Clarke. The intent was twofold: showcase the beautiful colours our native plants provide year round, and put them in a format which enabled artists, and gardeners, to use them as inspiration.
Here is the outcome: a series of 12 plant species, each with their own colour palette and list of plants which fit within the palette, providing beautiful landscaping options. (We also provide planting plans and landscaping to clients, if that is something you are interested in! Head over to our ‘contact’ page.) We will be releasing these palettes one by one over the coming weeks and months.
This project was a labour of love, and turned some of our assumptions about our native plants on their head- is Winter really one of the best seasons? Why are berries such an important part of planting? Are some of these plants even real?
